After graduating in 1999 in graphic design, and completed master degree in graphic design and in graphic art at University of Montenegro, Irena Lagator Pejovic spent a year at l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts of Le Mans in France. She completed her PhD studies in Interdisciplinary and Multimedia Art at University of Art in Belgrade in 2012.
In 2012, Neue Galerie Graz am Universalmuseum Johanneum, edited her artist book The Society of Unlimited Responsibility. Art as Social Strategy. 2001-2011, published by Buchhandlung Walther König, Koln, Germany.
She represented Montenegro at the 55th International Art Exhibition - La Biennale di Venezia (2013) with her solo show Image Think.
